equal opportunities for successful participation by all sections of the community. To promote the participation of the community in healthy recreational activities linked to sport specifically football. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose includes improvement in physical and emotional health and well-being because of participation in football and other recreational football. This includes raised esteem and confidence, improved aerobic capacity and development of physical skills. Benefits identified are demonstrated through the evaluation of our activities, programmes and services through players, club and AGM meetings and with other stakeholders. This includes gathering feedback via a range of means such as one to one interviews, group discussions and focus groups, comment cards, surveys and questionnaires around the benefits of activity provided. We also monitor participant numbers within sessions, growth in membership, retention in programmes etc. to further reference the value and impact of our provision and to develop beneficial future services. Our charitable purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of our purposes are those predominantly children and young people living in the wider catchment in Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council and neighbouring council areas. The private benefit for our members is that they are gaining a healthy and active lifestyle, together with social inclusion across club activity.
What your organisation does
The primary purpose of our Development Programme is the continual improvement of our established learning environment in which young people realise their full potential as footballers. The main objective of the programme is developing future football talent and participation in sport to help young people benefit from health lifestyles and enhance
wellness. As such we aim to make a model of best practice in football development through the following key objectives: • To develop and grow young footballers (boys & girls) to participate in sport and develop football skills. • To develop the conditions and create a framework and pathway which encourages long-term player development for players of all ages. • To provide a positive and enjoyable experience for all young players through the provision of quality coaching and development programmes of young players. • To develop effective partnerships in the local community to support player development among young players.
