Public benefits
The direct benefit flowing from the Trust's purposes will be the relief of hardship on the part of the employees of the Settlor, their families and other associated persons. This will include the relief from stress occasioned by such hardship, and an improvement in the general health, wellbeing and living conditions of the Trust beneficiaries,
which can be adversely impacted by impoverishment and need. Furthermore, financial assistance offered by the Trust will open up the possibility of the beneficiaries of the Trust pursuing personal advancement and education opportunities, allowing for a better quality of life for the families and dependents of such persons. It is anticipated that these benefits will be clearly demonstrated by an improvement in mental health on the part of the Trust's beneficiaries. In addition, the Settlor organaisation will undertake ongoing reviews of those persons or groups who receive assistance from the Trust, to ensure that the hardship and poverty affecting those persons is being effectively alleviated as a result of the Trust's intervention. It is not anticipated that there will be any harm arising from the purposes of the Trust. The primary beneficiaries of the Trust are those persons employed by the Settlor, together with their families and other dependent persons of the employees and their families. However, the benefit provided by the Trust will also be made available to persons within the wider community within which the Settlor organisation is based. There is no private benefit flowing from the Trust's purposes.
What your organisation does
The Trust will provide support (both of a financial nature, and in the provision of advice, counselling and assistance) to classes of persons affiliated with the Settlor by virtue of their employment with the Settlor's organisation. This support will include, but not be limited to, the provision of interest free loans to employees who may be
struggling financially, and also providing support and guidance to those families suffering from illness which prevents a family member from working and earning a wage.
