The direct benefits which flow from our purpose include enhanced community development, health and wellbeing, community education, advice and access to services and facilities, increased skills and opportunities for women and therefore reduction in social isolation, improved linking and collaboration with other organisations for the benefit of the

women of Limavady and surrounding area. This can be demonstrated through the provision of additional services and facilities such as education, well-being and social and leisure activity programmes, advice, social café and general feedback and evaluations taken from these events and activities, as well as community surveys. There is no harm arising from the purposes. The Charity’s beneficiaries are women living in the Limavady and surrounding areas in Causeway Coast and Glens Any private benefit is incidental in terms of enhanced community development opportunities, health and wellbeing, enhanced skills and knowledge and access to services and facilities to relieve poverty and isolation.

Limavady Hens Shed provides opportunities for women to meet up and participate in a range of different activities that are programmed throughout the year, these include activities such as: arts and crafts, wellbeing, fitness, informative talks and educational opportunities, trips and study visits, joint projects with other women's organisations and

a social café.

Charitable purposes

The aim of Limavady Hens Shed is to improve the knowledge, the skills, the self-confidence and well-being of its members. Through the delivery of programs and activities, Limavady Hens Shed aims to reduce social isolation, build on new friendships And improve health and wellbeing. We try to network on a cross-community basis with other women's groups across the province.
