The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include an increase in social skills, improvement in emotional wellbeing, improved positive educational outcomes and increased spiritual development of the lives of children and young people These benefits are evidenced through qualifications gained, self- evaluation, feedback from beneficiaries and
regular independent evaluations There is no identifiable harm to any person through the pursuit of the above organisational purpose. The beneficiaries of this purpose are the residents of Bishop Street and its surrounding areas. The private benefit is that gained by a Trustee who may avail of the services offered in the Community Centre. This benefit is incidental as Trustees are members of the community. Trustees may also gain skills and experience and an increased sense of well-being through their role as Trustees of Bishop Street Community Association, however this benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure benefit is provided to beneficiaries.
What your organisation does
Provide young people with access to a high-quality sporting and educational facilities. Significantly enhance standards in Group/Developmental work, physical education and sport; particularly targeting marginalised young people who have had limited or no experience of structured youth provision. Contribute to the renewal of one of the most
disadvantaged neighbourhoods, encouraging physical and economic regeneration of the area, improving youth participation, progression, sport, education, health, and the environment. Sustain and enhance youth provision, arts and sport within the local community and throughout the wider region by contributing to more active and healthier lifestyles.
