To provide educational support to the pupils of St. Bernard's Primary School and Nursery Unit in Glengormley. The benefits can be demonstrated through the evidence of the use of funds which have been raised and what these funds have been used for. The PSG have raised funds in previous years which have paid for the schools Accelerated Reading

What your organisation does

St Bernard's Parent Support Group exist to support the school and staff in ensuring the continued educational advancement of pupils. The group's aim is to keep parents/guardians of children enrolled in St. Bernard’s Primary School in touch with the school, and with educational developments. The group aims to support the school in every way possible

through planning and carrying out fund raising events throughout the school year to fund on going educational resources / materials within the school Members of the group will support the school by attending events within the school to ensure that the school can successfully engage with the wider school community. The group provides the opportunity for parents/guardians and teacher to meet at informal occasions to celebrate the success and life of the school; such as support at school plays, open days and seasonal events.

Charitable purposes

The Associations sole purpose is to support the Advancement of Education within St Bernards Primary School, through provision of support for activities within the school which promote health and well being of both children and the school community. Support is also provided through raising funds to provide essential resources to support the continued educational needs of children within the school.
