What your organisation does

Causeway Neurodiversity provides a drop-in hub, information, and sign-posting and advocacy service for neurodiverse individuals and all those who care for them including families, carers, professionals, and their community. We also organise social events, recreational activities and information workshops. We provide relevant and up to date

information via social media including a private members page. For those who are unable to access social media we plan to hold monthly drop-in sessions and will provide printed information. The information provided will include an up-to-date pathway for all ages through from early intervention, referral, waiting list process, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, support services up to independent living support. We also provide support and information for undiagnosed and diagnosed neurodiverse adults. We work in partnership with professional services such as Multi -Disciplinary Social Work Teams in GP practices and other agencies within the Northern Trust as well as other statutory agencies, third sector and private organisations. We are planning to run one to one support and group programmes for neurodiverse individuals. At present there is no such service existing in any Trust within Northern Ireland. We have been identifying third sector and private support services to meet the gaps in statutory provision in the Causeway area. Lobbying will be organised to address gaps in statutory services when identified. In order to meet gaps in the area funding will be sourced in order to develop projects in order to illustrate best practice in service provision for Neurodiverse individuals.
