[What are the direct benefits flowing from your organisation's purposes?] - mutual support and encouragement among sufferers and their carers, family and friends, - increased awareness amongst the public about the effects of pulmonary fibrosis & interstitial lung disease (PF-ILD) and methods of management of such diseases, - financial assistance

provided to charitable projects for the relief of persons suffering from PF-ILD, - equipment, facilities or services designed to relieve suffering or improve the quality of life provided those living with PF-ILD, - awareness of organ donation. Benefits may be demonstrated by: - questionnaires and feedback from clients/carers. - recording the number of new clients contacting the charity. - recording the number of outreach opportunities taken up. - reporting on equipment, facilities or services provided. No harm would arise from our activities. [Who are the charity's beneficiaries?] People who suffer from Pulmonary Fibrosis and Interstitial Lung Disease, their carers and family. The general public. There may be incidental and necessary benefit to directors, volunteers or staff through their involvement with the charity.

What your organisation does

-website providing comprehensive information on the condition and directing clients to areas of support. - fortnightly zoom client support group meeting - fortnightly carer support group meetings. - monthly zoom presentations by medical professionals that aim to help clients & carer live fuller lives with pulmonary fibrosis. - We have active

Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp accounts that we use as a means to maintain daily and on-going contact with clients, some of whom may be socially isolated. - Following diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis hospital patients are provided with out contact details. They can then contact us by telephone or email to receive immediate & on-going support at this distressing time. - We have ambassadors throughout Northern Ireland who represent the group at fundraising events, and with client issues within their communities. - We work closely with the Trust Respiratory Teams to identify their need and address it where possible. -We work with the NI All Party Lung Group to improve lung health in NI. - We collaborate with Patient Advisory Groups throughout Europe & across the UK. - We work closely with the Irish Lung Federation, share ideas, information and courses. e.g singing for lung health etc.

Charitable purposes

The charity’s objects (‘Objects’) are specifically restricted to the following: - The charity is established for the relief of people with Pulmonary Fibrosis and other Interstitial Lung Diseases in Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) and to advance education about Pulmonary Fibrosis and other Interstitial Lung Diseases and in particular: - Foster an atmosphere of mutual support and encouragement among people suffering from Pulmonary Fibrosis and other Interstitial Lung Diseases and their carers, family and friends; - Raise awareness for the benefit of the public about the effects of Pulmonary Fibrosis and other Interstitial Lung Diseases and methods of management of such disease; - Support by means of financial assistance any charitable project for the relief of persons suffering from Pulmonary Fibrosis and other Interstitial Lung Diseases in the area of benefit, or for the protection and preservation of health of such persons either indirectly by means of research, or directly by the provision of equipment or facilities designed to relieve suffering and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of treatment of lung disease or for any other purpose which the Committee may specifically approve. - Promote and raise awareness of the Organ Donor Register for the benefit of the public.
