Public benefits
The Church provides benefits to its members and the general public by seeking to promote the Christian Gospel through our purpose of the advancement of religion. In promoting the Gospel, we believe its values benefit both individuals and society as a whole. The teachings of Scripture aim to reach those outside of the Christian faith as well as
building up and nurturing those who profess it. The facilities make provision for both the local community to use as well as other outside groups whose interests are compatible with the Church ethos. The Church programme and facilities also nurture children and young people to develop socially, educationally, physically and spiritually. The more senior groups enjoy interaction that enables them to maintain a positive well-being and social identity. The worship services are freely open to the general public as are the various elements of the weekly programme, given the age and gender restrictions that apply to the various groups. Attendees, parents, members and adherents, have all expressed their appreciation of the Christian ethos and moral guidance given by the Church. No General public, Children (5-13), Men, Women, Older people, Parents, Preschool (0-5), Youth (14-25), and local, national and international charities. The only private benefit flowing from our purpose is related to the Minister and Church Organist, who receive financial benefits which are necessary and incidental to the carrying out of duties as a result of their positions.
What your organisation does
The services of public worship, which are open to all, are times of praise, reading and explaining the Holy Scriptures. The Wednesday morning Bible Study and Prayer is further time to read and explain the Word. There are activities for various age groups which combine both spiritual and social aspects ranging from Parent and Toddlers, Sunday
School, Ladies Fellowship, Men's Group, Girl Guides, Youth Club, Friday Fellowship to Ladies Breakfast. The Church offers pastoral care, in the local area and beyond, to both members and adherents and also seeks to help those who have no church connection when such need is made known to us. A Church prayer list adds support to all in need. The Church responds to appeals for financial assistance with international disaster relief (through Tearfund and the DEC) and also through its connections with missionary societies.
