holidays. The direct benefits flowing from purpose (b) include improved opportunities for local people to gain accredited qualification and training, helping them sustain employment. The direct benefits flowing from purpose (b) include improved quality of care provision for local children to avail of with staff adequately trained, educated and qualified. These benefits can be demonstrated through regular child-friendly surveys and parental surveys as well as monitoring youth antisocial behaviour statistics online during after school hours and school holidays. These benefits can also be demonstrated through obtaining evidence of the training and education undertaken by staff. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The charity’s beneficiaries are children aged 5-11 years old from the Ardoyne area. Other beneficiaries include the staff who avail of education and training as a result of their employment. There are no private benefits flowing from any of the purposes.

What your organisation does

Ardoyne Afterschools Club currently delivers Play Project which provides afterschool support 5 days per week from 3:30pm-6:00pm, to 30 children aged 5-11. The service provides opportunities for local children to access a relaxed and informal setting and provide child led, appropriate academic support, mentoring, personal and social development

opportunities through interactive play, arts, sports and recreation. We also deliver a number seasonal provision providing social, recreational and educational opportunities for local children during the summer, Halloween, Christmas, Easter and St Patrick’s Day.
