Public benefits

Wee Community promotes, organises, and delivers workshops to volunteers and groups throughout the Northwest of Ireland. We advocate for collaboration among communities, provide advice to our members, identify common goals, seek out collaborators, find opportunities, and ultimately produce shared outcomes. These benefits are evidenced through

evaluation from independent services and regular feedback from participants, volunteers and groups. These purposes do not lead to harm. The beneficiaries of these purposes are people in the North West of Ireland who wish to collaborate in the shared outcomes of their communities. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose.

Charitable purposes

To promote activities in the North West of Ireland by provisioning and sustaining resources, aimed at increasing social-wellbeing and participation throughout the community without distinction of disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, with the object of adding value to the activities undertaken by groups in the local areas. In particular, these are as follows: (1) To advance community within the area of benefit and in particular the promotion of the community and voluntary sector for the benefit of the public. (2) To promote volunteering and community involvement for the benefit of the public. (3) To promote good governance amongst local groups and organisations. (4) To promote and support the charitable activities of local groups and organisations. (5) To foster support for research in the fields of community development, urban regeneration, health and education and to use the research for the public benefit. (6) To promote good community relations, religious and racial harmony, social cohesion and equality and diversity for the public benefit. (7) To promote such other exclusively charitable purposes in accordance with the law of charity in Northern Ireland as may from time to time be determined.
