Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include an increase in social skills, improvement in emotional well-being and increased spiritual development in the lives of local young people. This purpose will also provide improvements to overall community life. The above benefits will be evidenced through a number of evaluative means including;
recordings and observations of staff members; other qualitative data from parents, teachers and community representatives; quantitative data from programme and project evaluations; data from other sources including other services providers both statutory and non statutory There is no identifiable harm to any person through the pursuit of the above organisational purpose. The beneficiaries of this purpose are children and young as defined by Government policy in Northern Ireland. The private benefit is that gained by a Trustee who may avail of the services offered in the club. This benefit is incidental as Trustees are members of the community. Trustees may also gain skills and experience and an increased sense of well-being through their role as Trustees of the NW Youth Services Ltd, however this benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure benefit is provided to beneficiaries. Volunteers may gain an increased sense of well-being through their involvement in the club, however this benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure benefit is provided to beneficiaries. Staff may gain opportunities to be involved in educational or recreational activities. This benefit is also incidental and necessary for the work of the organisation to take place
What your organisation does
The club provides for the communities youth needs to: Provide young people with access to a high-quality sporting and educational facilities. Significantly enhance standards in Group/Development work, Physical Education and sport; particularly targeting marginalised young people who have had limited or no experience of structured youth provision.
Contribute to the renewal of one of the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods, encouraging the physical and economic regeneration of the area, improving youth participation, progression, sport, education, health, and the environment. Sustain and enhance youth provision, arts and sports within the local community and throughout the wider region by contributing to more active and healthier lifestyles
