Public benefits
Improved knowledge and skills in sustainability, culture and health & well being in the local community and improved community spirit and cohesion. Participation levels in the range of activities run by the Group and surveys of user experiences. The only identifiable harm may be through minor injuries that may be experienced in some of the
practical activities such as gardening and repair cafes through use of tools or slips trips and falls, but appropriate risk assessment and toolbox talks will mitigate this risk. The beneficiaries are the general public with particular emphasis on the local community. Private benefit to non beneficiaries is necessary where payments are made to activity facilitators, expert instructors, goods and material suppliers, and the rent of the Cook House etc. in the pursuance of the groups purposes. Incidental private benefit is gained by volunteers helping run the group and the above providers through raising awareness of the issues and benefits through their involvement with the project.

Charitable purposes
Promote organise and facilitate an education and community centre. Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Northern Ireland and its environs (herein after described as “the area of benefit”) without distinction of age, gender, sexuality, race, political, religious or other opinion by associating with statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of health and wellbeing, self-sufficiency and sustainability, arts and crafts, heritage, recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the life of the participants and the environment.
