Public benefits

The benefit which flows from this purpose includes increased educational progression through safe and satisfying play based group learning which parents/carers can become responsible for and become involved in; and to promote the preservation of health for the pupils. This is demonstrated through pupils working in groups having access to

resources, events, activities which increases their social interaction and educational attainments which is supported and achieved by the values and principles of Early Years. It also through funding efforts enhances the playgroups links with the local community. This purpose does not lead to harm. The beneficiaries are children under statutory school age living in Kilbride/Burnside and its surrounding area; the committee members/trustees are usually also parents at the playgroup which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries - the same entry criteria exists for all which is strictly adhered to. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries. A private benefit that arises from the service we provide is that from time to time we will provide training in areas including Child Protection and Early Years Development and these are transferable skills which could lead to employment opportunities for a volunteer, however without training the organisation could not deliver it public benefit to the general public.
