Public benefits

[What are the direct benefits flowing from your organisation's purposes?] As a church and place of worship, we are concerned with the spiritual and mental health of the persons following Jesus Christ and the community at large. We have seen great moral improvement from people who begin to follow Jesus Christ and thus promoting stronger marriages,

parents, workers, and citizens. [How can the benefits identified above be demonstrated?] The church is open for any and all people that desire a change in their lives spiritually and mentally. The teachings of Jesus can help people become morally and mentally stable. We will have multiple worship services, prayers services, and teaching/preaching services to teach and encourage people the doctrines of Jesus Christ. We also pursue evangelism outreaches to invite, pray, and teach people on the streets that would not normally visit a church. [Is there any harm arising from any of the purposes? ] No. We do not promote isolationism from the world, nor apply pressure to join the church or follow Jesus. We believe following Jesus must be done by faith and free will with no pressure or coercion. [Who are the charity's beneficiaries?] The general public at large, our community and surrounding communities, are the beneficiaries of Island Church. There is no private benefit derived from this charity for all positions, including the pastor, are voluntary. The church may employ a pastor and/or staff in the future, but will pay according to community standards for the position as well as being approved by the voting by directors and elders of the church.

What your organisation does

We have various meeting at our building in city center during the week focused on families coming together to worship, teach, and hear the gospel preached. We have the desire to train up people in our local city to find out who God has called them to be and to fulfil God's purpose in their lives. We do worship, prayer, and evangelism on the

streets and open our doors to anyone who desires to know Jesus Christ. We also desire as the church grows to implement a local Bible School for those who desire to dig deeper in understanding of the Bible.
