The direct benefits flowing from purpose 1 include helping young people from impoverished backgrounds in Northern Ireland and internationally, who do not have the means or access to education or training, to receive grants, awards and be provided with a place to go to receive support, advice and training in the community. The direct benefits
flowing from purpose 2 include providing financial support to church leaders to have a place to live and a building for the church to use for group prayer meetings and gatherings to promote the Presbyterian religion and enlighten others about the Christian faith. The direct benefits flowing from purpose 3 include making grants of money to individuals in need and or charities and other organisations including church groups or missions that are working to prevent or relieve poverty in South Africa. Also to relieve the poverty of young people by providing grants of money to enable them to participate in healthy recreational activities that they could not otherwise afford. The benefits from purpose 1 are demonstrated through making grants towards access to education and training, awards, support, advice and training to young people living in poverty. The benefits from purpose 2 are demonstrated through the provision of a place to live for church leaders and a building for the church to use for group prayer meetings and gatherings and the promotion of the Christian faith in South Africa. The benefits from purpose 3 are demonstrated through financial support and making of grants to individuals in need, education or training to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient. No2 Impoverished young people in Northern Ireland and impoverished people of South Africa A trustee who is a solicitor or an accountant or who is engaged in a business may charge for work done by him or his firm in connection with the Settlement including work not requiring professional assistance. This is necessary for the fulfilment of the charitable purposes.
What your organisation does
Advancement of Education - helping young people who wish to advance their education for the public benefit but do not have the financial means to do so as they are living in poverty or do not have access to education or training. Advancement of Religion - promote Christianity both in Northern Ireland and throughout the world. This purpose will be
achieved by financial assistance to the local Presbyterian church and the Presbyterian church in South Africa. The financial support will assist in providing the church leaders to have a place to live and a building for the church to use for group prayer meetings and gatherings that will promote the Presbyterian religion. Relief of Poverty - help relieve poverty for the people of South Africa and throughout the world by providing grants to individuals in need and or charities and other organisations including church groups or missions that are working to prevent or relieve poverty in South Africa. A further purpose will be to relieve the poverty of young people by the provision of grants to enable them to participate in healthy recreational activities that they could not otherwise afford.
