Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from our organisation’s purposes include providing exciting and enjoyable theatre for the general public. Our community outreach work focuses on celebrating different cultures within Northern Ireland. Our organisation focuses on the advancement of the arts, culture and heritage. As a young and vibrant company that
isn’t afraid of taking creative risks, Three’s are leading the way for the next generation of theatre makers in NI, engaging in training and creating theatre in Northern Ireland directly benefiting the public by providing a platform for education. Three’s Theatre Company strongly believes that theatre has the power to transform lives and can play a key role in cultural and social regeneration. Our performances/projects often focus on social justice issues, therefore enhancing the public’s understanding of different issues, in a safe and open environment. Three’s Theatre Company is an immersive theatre company and so our audience are often introduced to buildings or areas of NI that they wouldn’t ordinarily set foot in, to experience new ideas in a new setting. Due to the nature of our work we are often engaged with the community.Although this is not our primary purpose, there are many groups who benefit indirectly from our projects due to their subject; specifically children and young people through our community outreach branch Still I Rise Diversity Storytelling, which focuses on using storybooks to start conversations and encourage tolerance, acceptance and build a more empathetic generation. There are no areas within Three’s work that would lead to any harm. Those who directly benefit from Three’s Theatre Companies work are first and foremost the audience themselves. Three’s regularly encourages audience feedback through social media and post-show feedback forms. This enables Three’s to continue producing theatre that appeals to large numbers and remains popular and current. As well as audience members direct beneficiaries include the professionals whom Three’s work with throughout the year. There are no private beneficiaries.
