What your organisation does

The charity carries out its purpose by: a) Maintaining natural mountain bike trails in the Cave Hill Country Park and surrounding area under the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding with Belfast City Council. Activities undertaken include trail building, trail maintenance and leading mountain bike rider coaching; b) Providing opportunities to

members of the public and club members to engage in outdoor physical and mental exertion by through planned inspections and maintenance of a sustainable natural mountain bike trails, suitable for all abilities in the Cave Hill Country Park and surrounding area. I c. Working in joint partnership with Belfast City Council to organise volunteer trail building and trail maintenance work; II d. Offering the wider community coaching and development opportunities in mountain biking; and e. Promoting the mental and physical benefits of mountain biking within the local community and developing partnerships with other community based organisations.

Charitable purposes

The purposes of the charity are: a) To promote the amateur sport of mountain biking primarily but not exclusively in the Cave Hill Country Park and surrounding area as an important and exciting outdoor activity that offers enhanced health and wellbeing, physical and social benefits through active participation and engagement in the activity of trail building and riding a mountain bike on natural trails; b) To provide, for everyone, outdoor physical and mental exertion through the maintenance and management of a sustainable network of natural mountain bike trails for suitable for all abilities in the Cave Hill Country Park and surrounding area by: I. Working in joint partnership with Belfast City Council to organise volunteer trail building and trail maintenance work; II. Offering the wider community coaching and development opportunities in mountain biking; and III. Promoting the mental and physical benefits of mountain biking within the local community and developing partnerships with other community based organisations.
