Reclaim the Enlightenment

The Society is established for exclusively charitable and non-political purposes with the object of encouraging a balanced understanding of The Enlightenment and its implications today. The Society shall do anything which shall be conducive to the attainment of the object including: • Promoting, organising and participating in lectures, conferences, meetings, dramas, pageants, tours, concerts, exhibitions, educational courses, and visits to historic sites. • Encouraging research into The Enlightenment at academic, popular and local level. • Publishing or encouraging publication of materials relating to The Enlightenment whether in print or electronic form. • Commemorating the role of individuals who played a significant role in the Enlightenment. • Supporting the preservation for public use of historic buildings where events of significance in The Enlightenment took place. • Supporting the provision of public facilities in central Belfast focussing on the significance of The Enlightenment.
