Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from our purposes are that (i) young people develop the skills required to lead and inspire in the future; (ii) that young people develop an appreciation of the importance of demonstrating respect towards those who hold opposing views and (iii) that young people are supported to generate ideas as to how we can solve

pressing social issues and are then inspired to develop solutions with their peers. These benefits are evidenced through feedback from young people, their schools, our partnership organisations, funders and regular independent evaluations of our services by academic professionals in tertiary level institutions. There is no harm flowing from this purpose. The Charity's beneficiaries are children and young people aged 16-18 living in Northern Ireland, attending schools engaged in shared education initiatives. The Charity's wider beneficiaries include the Northern Irish community at large who benefits from increased youth participation in democracy. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose.
