Public benefits

In line with the Charities Act and the statutory public benefits requirements Friends of Clea states it's purpose for the public benefit. The public benefit of this group is to support a range of activities and fundraisers to enhance and support the education and extra-circular provision at Clea Primary School, Keady. The direct benefits flowing

from Friends of Clea will be to the children of the school primarily and also the wider Keady/Clea community where activities from Friends of Clea bring the community together through Community events like Christmas Markets, Summer Barbecues etc to be enjoyed by all in the surrounding areas. The funds raised at the activities will directly benefit the school and the children and benefits to date have been the funding the school's Numeracy Programme, the purchase of iPads for the school, playground equipment and reading books. Many children have benefited positively from this and will remain to do so in the coming years . The group will conduct a feedback survey on an annual basis via the school website with parents/wider community to get feedback on the benefit of the group and for input on future activities that will help benefit the children of the school and any further need within the community. No harm has been identified as arising from any of the purposes but all activities will have a risk assessment carried out in conjunction with school staff to ensure any potential risks are eliminated prior to activities. The Charity's Beneficiaries will be the children first and foremost, the staff of the school, parents and guardians as well as a wide range of people from the community and surrounding areas. There will be no private benefit from any of the purposes.
