Public benefits

The direct benefits that flow from The Erne District Chinese Families’ and Friends’ Association purposes are the organising and provision of a range of social, educational and recreational activities for persons living in Fermanagh and surrounding district providing them with the opportunity to avail of activities that promote, raise awareness of

and celebrate Chinese culture, language and traditions. The association members also collaborate with their members, other local groups, and representative agencies to raise awareness within the community of the needs and experiences of persons from the Chinese community and the benefits flowing from this are receiving support from other organisations to hold activities and deliver services. The benefits of the group activities are evidenced by measurement of numbers attending activities and feedback from participants. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of The Erne District Chinese Families’ and Friends’ Association. The beneficiaries of the group are persons from the Chinese and wider community who live in County Fermanagh and surrounding district. The only private benefit flowing from the group purposes are that trustees of The Erne District Chinese Families’ and Friends’ Association and their families, can participate in all activities and this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all eligible members of the community can potentially avail of these and benefit.
