Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from this purpose is that through a mixture of social and competitive bowling we aim to improve both the physical and mental well being of our members, especially that of the elderly members. This is attained namely by reducing stress and anxiety, highlighting social benefits of being a member of a team. Other direct
benefits include improving individuals bowling techniques, better knowledge of the rules of the games and different generations mixing through the love of the sport. These benefits are evidenced through the interaction between club members and also other club members when playing in the Leagues and Cups. The camaraderie between club members is evidenced during club training nights and end of season dinners. There is no harm anticipated from this purpose. The beneficiaries would be members of club and wider members of the bowling fraternity Incidental private benefit may occur through beginners improving their technique and ability, perhaps leading to individual success in championships etc., or becoming recognised through inter - association or international call ups.
