Participants report a reduced likelihood of reliance on unhealthy coping strategies such as substance misuse, self-harm and offending or aggressive behaviours. The benefits from purpose 2 are demonstrated through improved concentration, behaviours and increased attendance in schools. Families report a calmer home environment and improved sleep patterns. What your organisation does

By the provision of life skills training and provision of out of school education groups both in person and online By the design and delivery of evidence-based workshops and learning opportunities focused on emotional regulation and the provision of education and information about mental health and providing access to counselling and therapeutic

services, both in person and online We offer training workshops and classes in emotional regulation techniques. LightworkNI have collaborated with The Centre for Evidence and Social Innovation at Queens University Belfast and Learnovate Digital learning centre Trinity College, Dublin to create an innovative and evidence based programme. Our programme is designed for delivery in schools, youth groups and other educational settings and to families at home and in suitable learning environments. We work with schools, youth groups, youth leaders, educators and carers as well as individuals. Out aim is to improve social and emotional health, improve cognitive and academic performance and improve relationships. Out evaluations confirm that we achieve this: Participants have said they are more able to stay calm in conflicts and their ability to concentrate, sleep and relax has improved. Participants report feeling they can make better choices and feel less guilt and shame. Individual counselling is offered as an additional service to programme participants who request additional more personal support. Participants report a reduced likelihood of reliance on unhealthy coping strategies such as substance misuse, self harm and offending or aggressive behaviours.
