Public benefits

The direct benefits that flow from Fermanagh Stroke Support Group purposes are the organising and provision of a range of social, educational and recreational activities to support persons from Fermanagh and surrounding district affected by stroke, providing them with the opportunity to avail of activities that assist in protecting their health,

receiving advice and information, social interaction and advancing their education, all of which improve their conditions of life. The group members also collaborate with their members, other local groups, and representative agencies to raise awareness within the community of the needs and experiences of persons affected by stroke and the benefits flowing from this are receiving support from other organisations to hold activities and deliver services. The benefits of the group activities are evidenced by measurement of numbers attending activities and feedback from participants. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of Fermanagh Stroke Support Group The beneficiaries of the group are persons affected by stroke and their carers who live in County Fermanagh and surrounding district. The only private benefit flowing from the group purposes are that trustees of Fermanagh Stroke Support Group and their carers/families, can participate in all activities and this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all eligible members of the community can potentially avail of these and benefit.
