Public benefits

The purposes of our charity are to advance environmental protection and improvement by raising the profile of environmental awareness through the provision of education, well-being, and volunteering opportunities. The direct benefits flowing from our purposes include enhancing local capacity through providing educational opportunities to people

from all ages and backgrounds about environmental issues and protection of the local environment and by providing volunteering opportunities to allow movement from education to action. Other benefits include a valued, healthy, and resilient natural environment for current and future generations. These benefits are demonstrated by the development and delivery of educational opportunities, formal and informal, which seek to build capacity in the local community to conserve, protect and improve the natural environment of Causeway Coast and Glens. We do this through the development and delivery of practical projects and programmes which encourage partnership and collaboration between local government, the community and voluntary sector to raise awareness of environmental issues and by engaging local communities and schools to deliver environmental projects on the ground which also positively contribute to the beneficiary's collective health and wellbeing. These benefits are evidenced through general feedback, and evaluations taken from events and activities and the increasing number of local volunteers helping to carry out our work. There is no harm associated. The charity's beneficiaries are those living in or with an interest in the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council area. Any private benefit is incidental in terms of enhanced environmental protection, education, health and wellbeing, civic pride and promotion of active citizenship.

What your organisation does

World Earth focuses on four main pillars of activity: 1. Education: Through education, North Coast World Earth seeks to raise awareness and action change to make a positive and lasting impact on the environment. 2. Awareness: North Coast World Earth recognises the increasing need for environmental awareness. We encourage people to connect with

their environment, appreciate its natural beauty, care for it and encourage others to do the same. 3. Action: Community participation is central in our work; our projects actively engage and collaborate with a wide variety of community members and groups of all ages. 4. Change: North Coast World Earth is passionate about improving and protecting the environment for the benefit of all and future generations. The vital work our group achieves will continue to make real, visible and long-lasting change by empowering a wide range of people to become active and bring about the change we wish to see.
