Purpose One-We operate in a rural area, people do not have the ability to access transport to access centralised support. People need somewhere within the rural community to access emotional support. Purpose 2- Ease of access for anyone experiencing emotional distress in our community. Purpose 3- upskilling the local community. Purpose 4-
Reduction in Suicide & suicidal feelings within our community Purpose 5- Improved and increased ability to respond to community crisis. Purpose 6- Inclusion in respect of those unable to attend on site due to mental health/physical difficulties. Purpose 7- Expand the support off site and create community cohesiveness & resilience and team work among like minded organisations. Purpose 8- In times of lockdown & Isolation this is a 24/7 365 direct access to the person. 1-Through Record Keeping, Use of Databse, monitoring of clients wellbeing. Therapists notes. 2- Take up by the local community of the Service. Client feedback. 3-The number of people successfully completing suicide prevention training within the community. 4-Stats from interventions carried out. 5-Captured in our Database and through regular MDT team meetings. 6-Through Database, Record Keeping Client feedback. 7-Through a collaborative community response to suicide prevention. 8-The benefits will be seen in the take up of this during Lockdown & Periods of Isolation. 1-No 2-No 3-No 4-No 5-No 6-No 7-No 8-No the public and general community within the Kilkeel and immediate surrounding area. none
What your organisation does
Our Purpose To provide on-site support for individuals in emotional crisis, delivering innovative, solution-focused suicide prevention and intervention at the right time, in the right way. To deliver Crisis and Trauma Response to individuals, families, organisations, and community groups in need, offering immediate and compassionate support. To
design and facilitate evidence-informed suicide awareness and prevention training, building capacity across our region to recognise and respond to distress. To offer a professional, Multi-Disciplinary Team service both on-site and through outreach, addressing the needs of our local community with clinical, holistic, and peer-led support. To develop bespoke wellbeing and crisis response models tailored to the unique needs of our population, particularly in light of the intergenerational trauma affecting our community.
