The direct benefits flowing from the charity’s purposes include the provision of financial support to provide for school initiatives which deliver the aim of the advancement of the educational, mental and physical welfare and development of school pupils. The benefits of the charity can be demonstrated by the allocation of funding and

opportunities to school initiatives that are of benefit to the school children of Steelstown Primary School and Nursery Unit. Such benefits include the provision of materials, opportunities, training and other educational, mental and physical welfare opportunities. For example, subsidising travel expenses for pupils on school trips, expenditure on improvement of school environment, advancement of amateur sport, adding to educational facilities within the school such as supplementing school library to improve literacy skills. There is no harm The beneficiaries are the children of Steelstown Primary School and Nursery Unit. There is no private benefit

In order to carry out the charitable purposes, the trustees have the power to: (1) to represent the school in the advancement of the educational, mental and physical welfare and development of school pupils with regard to the needs of the children within the confines of the School area; (2) to raise funds, receive grants and donations; (3) to

apply funds to carry out the work of the charity; (4) to assist the school where appropriate and where possible; (5) to promote and arrange events/ fundraising as the Association deems necessary; (6) to co-operate with and support other charities with similar charitable purposes; (7) to do anything which is lawful and necessary to achieve the charity’s purposes.
