Greenfort Academy is established to promote Arabic language learning and learning through Arabic language for native and non-native Arabic speakers in Northern Ireland in general and in specific in the Armagh council area. The Public benefit of Greenfort Academy stems from the general attainment of advancement of education through enabling native

Arabic speakers, especially second and third generation, to maintain their linguistic skills and advancement through creating resources, curricula, and promoting language use through a variety of activities including learning through Arabic medium to enhance language skills. The trustees of Greenfort Academy have identified no harm from the charitable purposes of Greenfort Academy. Public benefit of Greenfort Academy extends to non-native Arabic speakers who seek to learn Arabic through enabling and equipping learners with courses and material required. As a specialised charity, we also seek to extend the public benefit to the educational establishments that would like to cooperate in the area of offering educational programmes lead to qualifications. Greenfort Academy is a no-profit-organisation where its services/activities are introduced at no fees or a minimum fees that covers that actual operational cost with no profitable margin.

What your organisation does

The charities has not conducted physical activities yet due to COVID-19 situation. However, we have used this time for research and identifying of resources and putting ideas for future activities. We are planning to start activities from Sept 2021

Charitable purposes

1- Promoting Arabic language learning to native Arabic speaker families within Armagh, Banbridge, and Craigavon area. 2- Promote the Arabic language to non-Arabic speakers, especially in the Armagh council area. 3- Create specialized curriculums to serve both Native and non-Arabic speakers. 4- Establish Part-time Arabic medium classes/school to teach different topics in the Arabic language (including science, religion, history, and geography) to youth aged between 5-14. 5- Offering help and cooperating with educational institutions (such as schools) which offer GCSE Arabic language across Northern Ireland. 6- Develop Arabic language resources for the usage of online classes.
