The Direct Benefits flowing from the Advancement of Education include increased knowledge and skills of beneficiaries of all ages. This will be measured by statistics and feedback from those attending to include attainment of accredited certificates and/or qualifications. The Direct Benefits flowing from the Advancement of Citizenship and

Community Development include the provision of a rural community facility for an isolated population whilst providing an opportunity to foster community spirit and community cohesion. It also provides opportunities for volunteering and the recruitment and development of new volunteers. This will be measured by statistics of those utilising the facilities, feedback and number of volunteers. The Direct Benefits flowing from the Advancement of the Arts, Culture, Heritage or Science include increased capacity for all the community to come together and take part in music, drama and other artistic activities, developing new skills and increasing confidence. These activities would also include concerts and amateur dramatics to be enjoyed by the wider community. This would be measured by participation numbers and feedback together with feedback from audiences attending performances. No harm arises from any of the benefits. The charity’s beneficiaries are: the local community of Glarryford and beyond. There is no private benefit to any person or organisation using the hall.

What your organisation does

Glarryford Farmers' Hall Limited provides, maintains and manages a rural community hall primarily for the local community which is in a rural setting but also the extended community in North Antrim and beyond. We ensure local residents have safe, modern and sufficient facilities to use for active community participation and in a completely neutral

environment. We help with charity fundraising events and organise lectures, meetings and other activities to enhance skills and knowledge of local citizens and also encourage use of the premises for other recreational and health and wellbeing purposes.

The charity's objects ('Objects') are specifically restricted to the following: (1) The advancement of education (2) The advancement of citizenship or community development (3) The advancement of the arts, culture, heritage or science by providing a community hall for use by the rural community in and around the North Antrim area for meetings, lectures, classes, drama performances, arts festivals and recreational activities. Nothing in these articles shall authorise an application of the property of the charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
