The direct benefits are Increased awareness of the activities of the Silver Band, the opportunity for beginners of all ages to participate in learning an instrument, by providing instruments and encouraging inter age participation in events. Encouraging and promoting confidence in musical ability. The benefits will be demonstrated through many of

those who trained with St Mark's Silver Band went on to take musical exams at school, went on to study at University and some have become professional musicians. Also the invitations from other organisations to take part in their events demonstrate the reputation of the Silver Band. There is no harm arising from the purpose. The beneficiaries are any person over the age of eight years who shows an interest in developing skills in instruments used by the Silver Band. There is no private benefit. No

Objectives The Objectives of the Band shall be: a) To promote music by encouraging novice and experienced players to perfect their expertise in playing musical instruments; b) To promote the mental and moral improvement and welfare of Members; c) To afford Members the means to engage in musical and social interaction. d) To provide Band members with a suitable place for rehearsals.
