Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from purpose 2.1 includes giving people who live on their own an opportunity to get together with others to engage in health, education, arts/crafts, sports/recreation, and culture and heritage activities. The direct benefits which flow from purpose 2.2 includes providing participants with a meeting place to put on
activities designed to improve their physical and mental well-being. Local people will be encouraged to engage with other agencies to improve the overall environment of the area which includes developing and implementing projects to improve the social, natural and built environment. These benefits from purpose 2.1 and 2.2 are demonstrated through feedback from participants and beneficiaries and by the level of uptake of our activities. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. The charity’s beneficiaries are people living in the wider Loughinisland area around. A private benefit to trustees may arise from our programme of ongoing activity programmes. Through these programmes trustees may gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
