Public benefits
The public benefits available to the community in Kircubbin and surrounding areas that flow from the purpose are: (a) Worship - enjoyment of the benefit of a place, music and opportunity for corporate worship. (b) Teaching of scripture - Regular and accessible teaching by various trained people to explain and discuss scriptural principles
contributing to spiritual and moral education. (c) Braking of bread and Prayer etc. - benefit from the organising and provision of regular activities which are necessary and central to the christian faith. (d) Evangelism - Benefit to both members as a means to express their faith and to local people who can participate in events organised by the church which bring cohesion and sense of community. These benefits are (will be) demonstrated through (a) Worship - the attendance and participation of worshipers as well as verbal feedback. (b) Teaching of scripture - evidenced by verbal feedback from the members (c) Braking of bread and Prayer etc. - the enjoyment and participation in religious ceremony offered openly to non-members. (d) Evangelism - evidenced by increased social integration and the provision of charitable services as well as feedback. The purposes of our charity may present a child safeguarding risk associated with certain activities provided to the local community. A robust child protection policy, access NI checks and training are all used to mitigate this risk. The beneficiaries are the general public, and the public valuation of the benefits can be evidenced through attendance at public worship, participation in Church governance and willingness to support through contributions the continuing witness of the Church. The wider benefit to the public will outweigh any detriment arising in the course of Christian outreach. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is a wage paid to a pastor and this is incidental and necessary because the activities and duties carried out by the pastor are essential to the fulfilment of the purpose.
