The direct benefits include enhancement of education meaning better chance of employment and increase self-confidence. They also include improved knowledge of the dangers of drugs and alcohol as well as knowing where to go for help, better physical and mental and reducing the risk of illness, reduced social inclusion and improved mental health and
confidence and improved mental health, reduced social isolation, increased physical activity and healthier and cleaner environment. The benefits are demonstrated through out of school education, provide funds and grants for education, distance learning and provide life skills training, raising awareness on the dangers of drugs and alcohol and provide counselling services, providing multi sports activities, training equipment and facilities for sporting event (sports days), volunteering in community to help with events such as sports days and any other activities organised, litter picks, provide equipment for planting flowers and plants and looking after green areas within the community. What your organisation does
We will provide volunteering opportunities for local residents to help with the running of events such as fun days, day trips, litter picks and walking groups. We will also provide training for the local residents to enhance employment opportunities and to gain self confidence. Programmes that we plan to deliver include health and wellbeing topics
such as mental health, physical activity, nutrition, smoking cessation and drugs and alcohol.
