Public benefits

The public benefits that flow from the charitable purpose are: (i) Access to safe, welcoming facilities and environment for all individuals, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, nationality, religious or political beliefs to participate in the playing of amateur cricket. (ii) Improvements to members physical and mental

health achieved through participation in playing Cricket regularly on both a competitive and recreational basis. (iii) Enhanced skills development gained through quality coaching and opportunities for young people to progress their skills and qualification to become qualified officials; (iv) opportunities for young people to become aware of and involved in cricket as a sporting activity which will help to encourage them to adopt a healthy lifestyles through the participation in sport The benefits can be identified through regular feedback from members, internal and external evaluations of the work that we undertake, the number of members from all age groups and sections, the number of young people progressing to become qualified officials. No harm will arise from any of the purposes The intended beneficiaries are all people – men, women, boys and girls, able bodied and the disabled, who wish to participate in cricket either competitively or recreationally, within Dundrum and surrounding areas of Co Down There is no private benefit arising from any of the purposes. Private benefit to trustees may arise from activities and training as trustees will be eligible to avail of the club’s activities. Through volunteering as trustees, individuals may gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries

What your organisation does

Dundrum Cricket Club provides facilities, amenities and access to equipment, to anyone wishing to participate in Cricket both competitively and recreationally within Dundrum and surrounding areas of Co Down. Members take part in training and skills developments and have an opportunity to socialise, enhance their skills and engage in enjoyable

creative and recreation activities.
