Public benefits
1. What are the direct benefits flowing from your organisations purposes? New Ground Ireland Limited believe that people’s lives can be changed when they come to faith in Jesus Christ realising that he alone can provide the transformation they need in their lives by using the principles as those found in the scriptures that in turn promote the
advancement of religion. The impact of this service is bringing people together that become and feel part of a community by engaging with each other in a worship setting. This may be part of a house group or small building dependant on the time period the charity has been providing a worship and teaching facility in a certain or new area. This is classified as carrying out missionary and outreach work as the teaching raises awareness and understanding of the religious beliefs and practices found in the scriptures. In certain areas this leads to a moral improvement as the teaching encourages people to live better lives and to be good citizens. 2. How can the benefits identified above be demonstrated? In a previous area this was started with eight people meeting together in a house group to discuss the scriptures that now three years later it has recorded over 80 people becoming a community holding meetings in a rented building that encompass all ages involving men, women, children and youth coming together at certain times and separately over a weekly period ie Kids meeting. This clearly demonstrates the direct benefit the charity is set up for and this can be developed in areas all over Ireland dependant on those available from the charity to teach the scriptures for the advancement of religion. Initially the charity may start a new area in a home or a small rented building funded by the charity to provide facilities for those wishing to attend public worship or any other meetings in relation to the advancement of religion as those deemed by the directors of New Ground Ireland Limited. The situation mentioned above has resulted in people coming together to form a fully functional church that will continue the advancement of religion. 3. Is any harm or possibility of harm outweighed by the benefit? No harm can come from this benefit as it is the people’s choice to attend the house group or public worship organised. In previous experience people may decide to travel if there is no similar public worship in their area. 4. Who are the charities beneficiaries? Any person who wishes to attend the teaching and worship meeting organised by the charity. It is open to all ages, persons, gender and is not is any way restrictive to those who wish to avail of the public worship. The aim is to build a group of people who wish to come together for advancement of religion, however they can come and go as they decide. 5. Is there any private benefit flowing from any of the purposes? Is it incidental or necessary? There is an incidental benefit identified from the purposes of the charity in that: A) There is a contribution to a better mental health or well being from the person who now feels part of a community/group of people that previously may have felt isolated. When people embrace the faith of Jesus Christ their different approach to everyday life and situation changes for the better. This new approach affects their family life, vocation and other social aspects of their life.
