The direct benefits which flow from purpose 1 include raising awareness of age appropriate play based learning among parents and carers and the provision of early education for children under statutory school age in Belleek and its surrounding area. These benefits evidenced through feedback from parents, Early Years Advisors and regular evaluation

of the service by Social services and the Education and Training Inspectorate. The direct benefits which flow from purpose 2 are for children under statutory school age within Belleek and its surrounding area include raising awareness about the 6 key areas of learning while developing each child’s progress in these key areas including personal, social and emotional, physical development, the arts, mathematical development, language development and world around us through safe and satisfying group play. Another direct benefit is increasing awareness of health related issues and how each child and their parent/ carer can aid preservation of the child’s health. These benefits are evidenced through feedback from parents, local primary schools, Early Years Advisors and regular evaluation of the service by Social services and the Education and Training Inspectorate The direct benefits which flow from purpose 3 include the delivery of preschool play based learning on the basis of excellence and evidence based innovation, effective stewardship and governance from a professional, committed and hardworking workforce, which achieves the highest standard of preschool education promoting positive childhood, parenting and community involvement/ inclusion for the children of under statutory school aged children of Belleek and its surrounding area. These benefits are evidenced through feedback from parents, local primary schools, involvement of and feedback from external agencies, Early Years Advisors and regular evaluation of the service by Social services and the Education and Training Inspectorate. The purposes do not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries are children under statutory school age living in Belleek and its surrounding area. They also include parent and carers of children under statutory school age in Belleek and its surrounding area. A private benefit flowing from the purposes is that gained by a trustee from our programme of on-going training in good governance, finance etc.; which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

The organisation carries out its purpose through planned and structured sessions from 9.15am to 12.15pm each weekday within the playgroup, which target each child's educational and developmental needs. The benefits are also demonstrated through term time parent reports (settling in, mid-term and transition reports) for each child detailing their

progress within the 6 areas of learning (Personal/ Social and Emotional, Physical, Language, the Arts and Science and Technology), identifying individual areas of need and suggesting ways to meet this need. The benefits are also demonstrated through regular visits and inspections from Early Years, Social Services and the ETI WELB inspections. Eased transition into Primary School education is also demonstrated through compilation of photographic transition story book of the local primary school and regular liaison and visits from the local primary schools that the beneficiaries will attend. These benefits are demonstrated through the playgroup's participation of daily Physical Education time and activities based around healthy eating, balanced diet, world foods and food preparation. Activities are devised to assess and improve each child's social, developmental and emotional needs, which is reported back to and discussed with parents through the term time reports with suggested plans of actions to preserve and improve each child's identified health needs.

Charitable purposes

“The Group is established to promote play based learning environments for all children under statutory school age (hereinafter referred to as the beneficiaries) of the area served and its surrounding environs in County Fermanagh (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) without distinction of age, gender, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and in particular: A) to advance the education of the beneficiaries by the provision of safe and satisfying group play, with the right of parents/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the group; and to promote the preservation of health of the beneficiaries; and B) to support the values and principles of Early Years.”
