Public benefits

Waringstown Together was set up to promote citizenship, community development and effectiveness of charities and voluntary groups in the Waringstown area. This will support community groups throughout the village and increase the health and wellbeing of the residents. This is provided in a not for profit situation. It is beneficial and can be

clearly demonstrated by. • Representing the interests of charities and voluntary groups in Waringstown, for example at council meetings. • Lobbying our council on behalf of charities / voluntary groups for better community facilities and improving their sustainability. • Facilitating collaboration on joint charitable projects. • Facilitation information sharing between charities/voluntary groups, where beneficial, and in line with data protection regulations. The purpose of our charity should not lead to any harm. Our public benefit is for all in our community. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is that committee members may also avail of services and gain knowledge from training courses but this is incidental and necessary because it is desirable that they do avail of facilities and gain knowledge to adequately provide the service afforded by our organisation.
