Public benefits

The benefit that flows from the advancement of education would be to promote the welfare and interests of students in school and if necessary co-operate with other similar organisations both locally and nationally. The students will benefit from educational and recreational programmes and projects provided. We obtain feedback on our services from

our students, parents, and other statutory organisation. The programmes will increase participants skills and knowledge, improve health and wellbeing and could lead on to further education, qualifications and/or employment. This will be demonstrated by the numbers participating and by the educational and recreational programmes we organise. The purpose of our charity should not lead to any harm. The beneficiaries are first and foremost the students of the College. By extension their families and more broadly the local college community. Depending on the purpose I'd include the communities that make up the hinterland of the college including all denominations and all groups regardless of religion, background or social class. FOSJBC wants to create a college at the heart of the community with the community at its heart. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is that committee members may also gain knowledge from our educational and recreational programmes.

What your organisation does

FOSJBC will focus on fund raising to allow the College to focus on delivering the purposes mentioned above. we will then allow the management team of the College to prioritize which of the 5 purposes needs the attention of FOSJBC in any given academic year. We will engage with the business community locally along with other organisations eg church

to gather the appropriate funds. We have an outreach with all of the 5 major political parties to access funding where possible.
