Public benefits
-Children and young people are provided with accurate and realistic information in relation to the negative impact of drugs and alcohol on their general welfare, resulting in healthier life choices being made therefore preventing some individual's abusing drugs and alcohol and reducing the levels of drug and alcohol abuse throughout
society. -Beneficiaries will be provided with the education and Christian moral tools through the programmes to apply to decision making about substance use and abuse at an optimum age to have impact on their future life decisions. -Reduced levels of alcohol abuse and drug abuse amongst youth and the wider community as a whole. -Family members of addicts/potential addicts become better informed and better equipped to address issues of alcohol and drug use with a view to reduction/prevention and providing support. -Other influencers, including potentially teachers, youth leaders and others in positions of authority are provided with accurate information on addressing issues surrounding alcohol and drug abuse with a view to reduction / prevention and furthering education of the negative impacts. -Reduced levels of substance use related illness and death in the community. -Improved relations in the family unit in the absence of alcohol and drug abuse. -Reduced levels of drug and alcohol related crime in the community. Improvement in spiritual welfare as a result of the Christian teachings and focus in the programmes. -From feedback from the individuals and organisations in relation to the programmes delivered. -From personal testimonies of beneficiaries in relation to the impact of the programmes on them directly, their families and the community. -Increased number of requests from local schools and organisations wishing to avail of the programmes offered in the County Down area and beyond. -Requests for repeat visits to local schools and organisations. No - the Trustees consider and review if any harm arises from the purposes of the purposes and have concluded that no harm arises. The children and young people who take part in the programmes offered by the Charity in local schools, youth organisations and church organisations in the County Down area and throughout Northern Ireland, influencers and leaders / teachers within those organisations by gaining knowledge and education, addicts and potential addicts, family members of potential addicts and alcohol and drug abusers and the wider community and society as a whole. No private benefit arises.
What your organisation does
By supporting in the delivery of education programmes in local schools, youth organisations, church organisations, appropriate public events and to other interest groups to raise awareness of the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse with a view to providing the necessary moral tools from a Christian perspective and accurate information to assist the
beneficiaries of the programmes to consider thoughtfully their life choices in respect of alcohol and drug use with a focus on the best outcome for their physical, mental and spiritual welfare. The Organisation provides this support through funding the delivery of the programmes, printed media and materials to provide information on the use of alcohol and drugs and providing appropriate resources and support when the opportunity arises to promote the purposes of the Organisation.

Charitable purposes
The advancement of education, the advancement of religion and the advancement of health and the saving of lives. The purpose of D.A.T.A. is to provide and support the education of the general public of the negative impact and dangers to health (physical, mental and spiritual) of alcohol and drugs, with a particular focus on children and youth (although not exclusively), to provide beneficiaries with accurate information through training programmes in schools and youth organisations to assist them in making healthier life choices. Promoting a Christian ethos to the issues surrounding the use of alcohol and drugs, the charity promotes thoughtful consideration of the moral consequences of alcohol and drug abuse and the wider impact on the family, and the community including the focus on safety and potential crime prevention. It is the charity's aim to provide education to all sections of the community in County Down , throughout Northern Ireland and if possible and appropriate, further afield.
