What your organisation does
The group was set up in March 2019 following a public meeting. Since then we have been working working on a number of projects to carry out the purpose of the community association. We have been working with statutory agencies to help us run programmes which will enable some of the residents the opportunity to avail of training and development
programmes for the community. We have also engaged with agencies to complete an annual estate inspection. Within the past 11 months since starting we have also delivered a successful summer event, with over 200 people attending, as well as a Christmas tree lightup supported by the local residents of the area with a children's Christmas party also delivered with over 100 children and adults attending. It is our intention to engage the local youth by engaging with youth organisations who have the expertise in youth work. We also aim complete a range of environmental cleanups with the community. We have also have started a facebook account to provide information to our community. We are also in the middle of completing a community survey which will enable us to develop an action plan for the community.
