Public benefits

We are open to all the public in the Coleraine area. The benefits include access to a range of inclusive events, access to speakers from diverse backgrounds, access to people and groups of different faith: Bringing people of diverse traditions together and providing social and networking activity opportunities. Benefits can be demonstrated by an

improved understanding because of being involved in shared events, improvement in social, emotional and physical wellbeing of participant; improved Good Relations and increased engagement within and between the faith communities within the Coleraine area. We can confirm that there is no potential harm from the objects of Coleraine Area Churches Forum. All meetings take place in safe accessible premises and all activities are risk assessed and well-managed. We hold adequate insurance for all of our activities. The charities beneficiaries are the general public of Coleraine and surrounding areas who have an interest or membership in a faith based community or an individual who feels they have an interest or a positive contribution to make to the work of faith based communities. There is no private benefit flowing form our purposes. We work to good practice in all financial and management issues and operate sound procurement principles.

To promote and encourage Good Relations between the church communities in the Coleraine Borough and to support interaction that respects diversity. Coleraine Area Churches Forum is involved in the promotion and works to encourage good relations between the church communities in the Coleraine area. It does this through the organisation of talks

and events which promote and encourage interfaith activity and raise awareness of the work of member organisations and the wider community.

Charitable purposes

Coleraine Area Churches Forum was established to encourage communication between local churches in order to build good community relations and contribute to shared learning and mutual understanding. Coleraine Area Churches Forum will work to advance human rights, conflict resolution and reconciliation, the promotion of religious and racial harmony and equality and diversity.
