Public benefits

The benefits which flow from purposes include include funding for additional resources for the school and links built with the local community as well as increased educational progress and attainment of pupils in the school. The purposes are demonstrated through having an active PTA that works in partnership with the school and engages parental

support. Furthermore, pupils gain access to resources events activities and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. No harm arises from either purposes. The benefit is for all stakeholders at Poyntzpass primary school and the wider community. Private benefit arises in that Charity Trustees (PTA committee members)are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries

What your organisation does

PTA engages school and local community in fundraising activities throughout the year. This money is then used to fund additional resources as identified by the school to enhance education provision. These events enhance community links of all ages irrespective of religious denominations.
