Object 2 The direct benefits which flow from this Object are happier, safer children and happier safer homes. As a result fewer children suffer cruelty or maltreatment. Object 3 The direct benefits which flow
from this Object are that parents and children feel less marginalised. Families make better use of local services and are less isolated and have wider horizons. Families are better able to cope with their needs. Object 4 The direct benefits which flow from this Object are families develop improved coping strategies and parents become more confident through increased education in childcare standards. The charity operates in Northern Ireland. Benefits are demonstrated by the progress of families through a journey of change. Information is provided by families, volunteers and referrers. Services are monitored by Health and Social Care Trusts, and through the Home-Start UK Quality Assurance process. We do not believe there is any harm arising from the purposes. The beneficiaries are families with at least one child under the age of 5 who are experiencing difficulties or suffering stress. Any private benefit that accrues to anyone is incidental and necessary for the charity to carry out its work. For example training and experience gained may be applied to other settings and enhance the career prospects of volunteers or Trustees.
