Charity trustees (PTA committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries. Purpose 2: Advancing the education of pupils in the school. What your organisation does

Friends of Kilmoyle is made up of a group of parents who are elected annually at our AGM. As an elected committee we aim to include all parents and staff in our planning and running of events and activities. We also encourage parents to share ideas and help supervise at our events where possible. We believe that parents need to be kept informed on

a regular basis therefore newsletters are sent home frequently, informing them of money raised to date, future dates of events, staff/school wish list items, details of resources and equipment purchased and help or items required for the upcoming fundraiser. We create and send home flyers reminding parents and friends of the next event/activity are sent home a few days in advance. Our PTA has a full school year agenda of fundraising/social events which are open to pupils, parents/guardians, family and the whole community. We also provide catering at open days, parent meetings and other times when requested by our Principal. At the start of a each new school year we ask the Principal and teaching staff to consider their wish list and strive in partnership with them to purchase the items/resources that will ensure the maximum benefit to all our pupils from Nursery to P7.
