The direct benefits which flow from the organisation's purpose include: A more confident individual, a more confident community. a route into employment and assisting in local community and residents groups to improve health and well being of community and individuals within the community. It reduces stress and anxiety within individuals and the

community. The benefit is evidenced through feedback from beneficiaries, government and statutory agencies reports and statistics. We believe that these purposes will lead to no clearly identified harm. The beneficiaries are the communities and inhabitants of County Antrim and County Down There may be private benefits from the provision of training and support, but these benefits would be incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.

Charitable purposes

The Charity's Objects are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Northern Ireland and surrounding areas (the "area of benefit") without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, disability, or political, religious or other opinion and in particular to:- (1) Relieve unemployment by: (a) promoting opportunities for employment and work experience amongst those experiencing unemployment or underemployment in the area of benefit; (b) examining the local labour market and assessing skill needs, prospects for increasing local employment and the adequacy of existing training opportunities. (2) Develop the capacity and skills of the members of communities where there is social and economic deprivation in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society. (3) Relieve those in need by assisting in the provision of advice and guidance on matters of social welfare and referral of those in need of specialist support to the relevant agencies. (4) Act as a resource for young people living in the area of benefit by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals and to engage with other communities in the area of benefit. (5) Engage with, promote dialogue and co-operation among and establish relationships and partnerships between groups, organisations and agencies in the community, voluntary and statutory sectors that have an interest in community safety and related issues. (6) Promote the welfare and independence of those with limited mobility by assisting and liaising with mobility charities and medical practitioners.
