Public benefits

The direct benefit which flows from our purpose is that our varied and comprehensive programme for girls and young women increases their confidence, skills and knowledge so that they become active, responsible citizens through active learning, support and encouragement. Our members are empowered to make a positive contribution to society through

building friendships, team work and taking on responsible leadership roles. The guiding programme is delivered in such a way that it encourages each member to do her best and to aspire to be the best she can be. Our programmes and delivery methods are reviewed on a regular basis and are supported, recognised and monitored at local, regional, national and international levels within the guiding community and also, from time to time by independent evaluations of our activities by statutory youth services and government departments In providing these services there is no known harm flowing from the purpose of Catholic Guides of Ireland The benefits of this purpose are provided to children, young people and volunteers without distinction of origin, race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, or ability, in Northern Ireland. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose.
