Public benefits
Purpose 1: Improved relationships between home and school The benefit which flows from this purpose includes funding for additional resources for the school and links built with the local community. Purpose 2: Advancing the education of pupils in the school The benefit which flows from this purpose includes increased educational progress and
attainment of pupils in the school and links built with the local community. Purpose 1 is demonstrated through having an active PTA that works in partnership with the school and engages parental support. Purpose 2 is demonstrated through pupils having access to resources, events, activities and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. No harm arises from either purpose. The benefit is for children at Ashgrove Nursery School. Charity trustees (PTA committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.
What your organisation does
The PTA at Ashgrove Nursery School seeks to improve the educational experiences of all pupils in our school by working together to organise events, carry out fundraising and also social events. Any funds raised go directly back into the Nursery School to be used to purchase educational resources, equipment and experiences for the benefit of the
pupils and the advancement of their education, which may not otherwise be provided. The parents, staff and friends associated with our Nursery School, led by the Committee made up of parents and staff, are actively involved in order to plan and facilitate a wide range of events throughout each school year. Our most recent raising fund raising efforts enabled the school to purchase age appropriate outdoor play equipment which is well used by both our children and their families.
