Public benefits

The direct benefit which flows from our purpose of promoting social inclusion among women and their families is that social isolation will be reduced among women in West Belfast and they will be more empowered to help themselves and their families. Through the provision of education, women in the area will be able to improve their employability

and access to further education. They will also be able to make more informed choices regarding money management and have improved financial capability leading to improved conditions. Through attendance at the courses and recreational activities, the women can build relationships with each other which all helps to alleviate social isolation and become more involved in their community. This in turn should help improve their mental health and improve their quality of life. The benefits can be demonstrated through the number of women attending the centre for courses, activities, advice, guidance and general support. The women will be consulted also on activities and courses that they would like to attend and courses. The number of women who access employment or who access further education.
