Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from these purposes include provision of a range of provision of a range of social and recreational activities, mainly based within Mulleek Community Centre, for members of the local community living within Mulleek and surrounding area, members of other neighbouring communities within County Fermanagh and visitors to

the area, providing them with the opportunity to avail of activities that assist improve their social interaction and their conditions of life through accessing services and activities that would not normally made available to them. Benefits of the activities are evidenced by measurement of numbers participating in activities and receiving of feedback from participants. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of Mulleek Community Development Association. The beneficiaries are members of the local community living within Mulleek and surrounding area, members of other neighbouring communities within County Fermanagh and visitors to the area. The only private benefits flowing from our purposes are that Mulleek Community Association members and their families can participate in all activities and this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all members of the district can potentially benefit.

What your organisation does

Mulleek Community Association was established in 1991 in the rural community of townlands centered on Mulleek, with members of the association being drawn on a cross-community basis from throughout the population living in this area of north-west County Fermanagh. The most significant work of the association has been securing the lease on what was

the former Mulleek National School and then the funds to construct the purpose built community facility known as Mulleek Community Centre, this building opened in 1991 and since then has very well used by members of the local community and visitors to the area for a range of educational, social and recreational activities. Examples of activities provided in Mulleek Community Centre are Social Dancing, Yoga, Knitting, Crochet, Baking Classes, Cookery Demonstrations, Farmers Information Courses & Talks, Funeral Teas, Family Parties, Health Fairs, Card Games, Women’s Group, Painting & Art Classes.

Charitable purposes

(a) The Association is established to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Mulleek District of County Fermanagh, (the area of benefit) (b) The objects of the association shall be to promote the benefit and interests of the inhabitants, of the area of benefit without distinction of age, sex,race,political or religious or other opinions by associating the statutory authorities. voluntary organisations, institutions and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for health recreation, object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of the area of benefit.
