The direct benefits from the organisations purposes are a reduction in the feeling of isolation and social exclusion. The access to services in a rural setting and the increase in confidence and self esteem of people attending the group. No there is no harm arising from any of the purposes The charity's beneficiaries are everyone who avails of any of the services the group offers. There is no private benefit flowing from the purposes.

The group offers activities for everyone in the community such as, educational classes, over 50's group, youth club, mother and toddler, craft classes, seasonal activities, drop inn sessions, job club, advice services. These activities are carried out throughout the year and in need with the local community needs.

Charitable purposes

To relieve poverty, sickness and the aged and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Drumsurn Area and district area of Co. Derry and its environs (hereinafter described as “the area of benefit”) without distinction of age, gender, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants;
